Ah, the light pushes us towards spring with every earlier sunrise and later sunset. It would seem as if Jazz Musette has been in hibernation. Not so
friends! Our Web Goddess [Anna Hart] has been managing her illness and, I’m happy to say, has been putting what energy she has towards singing with us again. The winter has been full of our Thursday night rehearsals, with the occasional guest sitting-in for some extra spice. We’ve been working on some new songs to ‘spring’ on our audiences this year and polishing-off some neglected oldies for another season.
Bebop and I have been working to record a catalogue of my originals with his Mac and the wonders of today’s at-home recording possibilities. This winter we also expanded on our song-writing collaboration and are proud to announce the birth of a new Bossa Nova. I’m so grateful to the benevolent universe that moved me across the street from my working partner!
Ed and his wife have done some globetrotting this winter. We missed him terribly on the Thursday nights he was gone and there was much celebration at his homecoming. I don’t think the fertility goddess key rings they brought back as presents pose any great danger to individual band members!
Mark has been busy with events at the Longbranch Improvement Club and with his beloved boat. I’m thrilled to hear that he is planning another summer ‘Beyond Our Borders’ festival. Last year’s bash was incredible, with groups such as Eyerabia, Abrace, and the Northwest’s own, Pearl Django as headliner.
T3 has also been busy…as only a working (with a passion for jammin’) dad of young children can be. Sun Valley, Idaho calls him for skiing when the work and school schedule allow. Bebop and I will be joining him in donating a little playing time at a benefit for the Tacoma Waldorf School, sometime in April.
Amongst new toys at Christmas, we received little live recording gadgets, both audio and visual, and we hope to be able use these to bring you some new features on this site. Please be patient…our technology learning curve appears to be flat-lining at the moment…we are working on it!
2008 feels full of work and promise. We look forward to sharing this year of laughter, love and music with each other and with you.

Harbor -- for her friendship, support and positive promotion of our band.
Many thanks to all the good folks in the audience who help make Musette magic.
Many thanks to Wyllo Wolfdance for her help in getting our website
online! Please see Wolfdance

Most of all ~ many, many thanks to our life partners for
their continued love and support.
